SCV Camps #1453 and # 656 fire a Mountain Howitzer cannon at the Prairie Grove Battlefield on Saturday, July 9, 2011. The group hosted Confederate History Weekend throughout the day with cannon demonstrations and period camps.

North West Arkansas Camps Participate In The 2011 Rodeo Parade in Springdale, Arkansas
Vehicles that normally make their way down Emma Avenue in Springdale had to find another route Saturday when tractors ,SCV Camps 1453 and 656 ,chuck wagons,and horses took to the streets for the 66th annual Rodeo of the Ozarks parade. The SCV camp won first place in “Group Float” for the 8th year.
Camp 1453 Announces Family History Conference April 30, 2011
We are getting excited about the Stake Family History Conference: Gather your Family, coming up on April 30th and we hope each of you are planning on attending. The place to register is gatheryourfamily.com It will be held at the Springdale Arkansas LDS Stake Center on Hwy 412 and Prairie Lynches Road in Har-Ber Meadows.
Look at the class list to see classes you would like to take. We hope each of you will be able to attend a PAF (personal ancestry file) class to understand how to teach it to our patrons. It is a free download for family trees which are compatible with familysearch.com. There are a lot of classes that we all would like to learn about so we can spread out and hopefully cover all the bases and then come back and teach it to each other at a later date.
We would like to ask each of you to host for a couple of hours in the Jones Family History room. We will coordinate the schedule of classes you want to attend with the times we need covered when we have our next in-service.
We will have our inservice next Sunday April 10th at 3:30 in the Jones Family History Room. We hope you can all attend.
